The Pearl Ball is a black tie gala featuring a silent auction, seated dinner, entertainment and dancing. The sixth annual gala will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at the Smyrna Air Center in Smyrna, Tennessee with a Casablanca theme that conjurs memories of Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman. Illuminated jets, draped fabric, and pearls create an unforgettable atmosphere.

The Pearl Ball attendees include nearly 400 of Rutherford County's political leaders, physicians, business leaders and their guests. Proceeds benefit The Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation and will support the programs and services offered to those in Rutherford County who are affected by cancer. Last year's event assisted in funding the Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation Resource Room at StoneCrest, free prostate cancer screenings, and post mastectomy care.
