Tennessee Senate Honors 8-Year-Old Girl For Efforts With Troops

The Tennessee Senate took a moment to honor a special little girl Thursday.

Senators passed a resolution, recognizing 8-year-old Hannah Lawson.

Lawson, from Lenoir City, has been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. Despite her diagnosis, Lawson started a major effort to create the Army Angels Club.

The Army Angels Club collects items for care packages for troops overseas.

"We're raising money for the pediatric brain foundation, and we are selling bracelets and paying for the bracelets," Lawson said.
