Bill and Cindy Summers celebrate a victory today. Not only will the Catie Summers Memorial Scholarship be given for the first time to members of their daughter's graduating class of 2009, it will be given again to members of the class of 2010, 2011, 2012, and on and on.
"It will go in in perpetuity," Cindy Summers said of the scholarship, administered by The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
"We didn't want to do this for just a few years, unless they find a cure for cancer, then we'll direct this somewhere else," Bill Summers said.
