On November 7, 2008, Eddie Garcia performed his original song, "Livin' Proof," at the unveiling of the new State of Tennessee Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan 2009-2012.

Eddie writes:

Livin' Proof was written with a great friend, Thom Mozloom to honor and celebrate his mom, Grace and my mom, Dee. It is also to celebrate all those who are now resting in peace and in no pain and all those who are bravely living with cancer and embracing life!

As I stated that night, "Cancer doesn't discriminate, it strikes when and to whom it wants." Join any organization that offers support to those living with cancer. "Together, we will fight this disease!"
