Doctors in Nashville who are working to find a cure for cancer said discoveries that could save lives are being delayed.

Researchers in labs at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center said that when it comes to funding their projects, federal spending is on the decline. After inflation, federal funds have dropped by more than 10 percent in recent years.
