This year’s Pearl Ball Honorary Chair is cancer survivor Steve Benefield. He currently serves as general manager for Mid-South Bus Center in Murfreesboro. Before working for Mid-South, Benefield served as president of the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce.

The event will be held Saturday, Oct. 18 at The Sam Davis Home in Smyrna. Proceeds will benefit The Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation, which is a nonprofit organization founded in 1987 by Dr. Thomas Frist, Sr. and Dr. Steven Stroup, and will be earmarked for utilization within Rutherford County.
