The American Cancer Society offers several opportunities for cancer survivors to connect with each other.
- For more than 30 years, the American Cancer Society Reach to Recovery
program has helped people (female and male) cope with their breast
cancer experience. This experience begins when someone is faced with
the possibility of a breast cancer diagnosis and continues throughout
the entire period that breast cancer remains a personal concern. - Man to Man is a visitation program for men affected by prostate cancer.
Trained prostate cancer survivors will visit newly diagnosed prostate
cancer patients in person or by phone. The survivors also have a
resource packet to give to the patients. - The ACS also offers a Cancer Survivors Network for online social networking and educational opportunities with other cancer survivors.
