StoryCorps is an independent nonprofit project whose mission is to honor and celebrate one another’s lives through listening.

StoryCorps Griot is a one-year initiative, funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, to collect interviews from at least 1,750 African Americans.

In partnership with the Nashville Public Library, The Tennessean, and Nashville Public Radio/WPLN 90.3 FM, the StoryCorps StoryBooth will be in Nashville, Tennessee September 2007-September 2008.
