Details:
- The VICC Research Advocacy Program is comprised of trained cancer survivors/caregivers who support Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center's research programs by providing a unique patient perspective to researchers who design and implement translational research studies. Through education, collaboration and outreach, patient advocates play a critical role in helping researchers bridge the gaps between science and patient care.
- Hope Connection:
The VICC Hope Connection is a confidential telephone support network, bringing together trained cancer survivors and caregivers who have already dealt with the complex issues surrounding a cancer diagnosis and treatment with those who may wish to talk with someone who has been through the experience.Volunteers should be at least one year out of active cancer treatment and will complete a written application, background check, interview and training. To learn more about this volunteer opportunity, contact Jane Condon, Manager of Patient Advocacy at 936-1072 or jane.condon@vanderbilt.edu.
